Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre is known and loved around the planet as one of the best live performance venues to watch your favorite performer. Opened on 3 July 2003, this outdoor music venue is located in West Valley City, and boasts a huge capacity of 25,000, with 7,000 seats and the rest on the stunning general admission lawn. Set in Utah’s largest urban area, it’s easily accessible, and an all-round fantastic outdoor venue. Located in the open air, fans can watch their favorite bands while soaking up Salt Lake City’s summer sun. Utah is famous around the world for its vast deserts, towering mountains – and world-class live music. And this year was no different!

The spring season opened at the end of May with the Grammy-Award winning country duo Brooks & Dunn. On May 30, they brought the REBOOT TOUR to Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre. As one of the most anticipated tours of 2024, Brooks & Dunn didn’t fail to impress. The concert followed the release of their 11th studio album “Reboot,” and they played to the very back of the crowd! May also enjoyed an unforgettable performance from James Taylor & His All-Star Band on May 31. Known and loved around the world as one of greatest singer-songwriters of all time, James Taylor sang his heart out alongside adoring fans. The setlist included classics like “You’ve Got a Friend,” “How Sweet It Is (to be Loved By You),” “Handyman,” as well as his more modern hits like, “Today Today Today” and “It’s Growing.” 

June was another great month at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre. Huge names graced the stage, including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kid Cudi & IRONTOM (June 5), Sarah McLachlan & Feist (June 6), Janet Jackson (June 14), Cage The Elephant, Young The Giant & Bakar (June 20), Third Eye Blind, Yellowcard & Arizona (June 25), Foreigner, Styx & John Waite (June 26), and New Kids On The Block (June 29). Meanwhile, July brought the house down with more industry veterans like Noah Kahan (July 9), Hootie and The Blowfish (July 11), Niall Horan (July 20), A Day To Remember (July 21), Neil Young & Crazy Horse: Love Earth Tour (July 29), Thirty Seconds to Mars & AFI (July 30), and Bush, Jerry Cantrell & Candlebox (July 31). That month, the venue was also drenched in pink as the impressive Barbie experience came to the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre (July 18). 

August saw countless hitmakers like Alanis Morissette, Joan Jett And The Blackhearts & Morgan Wade (August 1), Limp Bizkit (August 18), Tyler Childers (August 20), Santana & Counting Crows (August 21), Rob Zombie & Alice Cooper (August 22), Train, REO Speedwagon & Yacht Rock Revue (August 29), and Hozier (August 31). And that was just a few of the legends that graced the stage that month!! Summer wrapped up in style with unforgettable performances from Glass Animals (September 5), Creed, 3 Doors Down & Finger Eleven (September 6), Jason Aldean (September 7), Post Malone (September 8 – 9), Def Leppard (September 10), Fred Again (September 15), and more! While Post Malone treated fans to a two night rager showcasing his brand new country album, Def Leppard rocked out with audiences during their first time in Salt Lake City in 7 years!

Fall closed off the season with Pitbull (September 25), Breaking Benjamin & Staind (October 5), Porter Robinson (October 19). In October, the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre also hosted a mini residence from pop rock titans Imagine Dragons (October 11, 12 & 15). They blasted out tunes like “Radioactive,” “Demons,” and “Thunder,” and everyone’s still raving about it now! “Imagine Dragons still know how to efficiently stomp stadiums into rubble…The alt-rock band remains reliably, radioactively enormous,” cheered Rolling Stone. Meanwhile, happy concert goers like Korrina said “Even in far left seating it was terrific! Better live than most bands I’ve heard. Performance was phenomenal! I would recommend for all age groups,” and Patty said “Best.concert.ever. BIG FAN.” 

Year after year, the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre hosts the biggest and best concert artists that Utah (and the world!!) has to offer. And this year was no different.
