1994 was the year that Live finally showed the world that they deserve attention. Their album Throwing Copper was a riveting masterpiece with powerful rock anthems like “Selling the Drama,” “I Alone,” “Lightning Crashes,” and plenty more. The album produced a lot of hits, these are titles that entered the Alternative Airplay chart and two songs even went to number 1. With the phenomenal success with their third album, Live continued to bust out noteworthy gems, such as Secret Samadhi, The Distance to Here, V, and Birds of Pray, among others.

In the same year Live dropped Throwing Copper, Collective Soul released their debut album HInts Allegations And Things Left Unsaid. The album spawned the band’s first ever single, “Shine,” which remains to be their biggest hit to this day.
